Qarabag footballer Mahir Emreli has been included in the list of the 50 best scorers in the history of Azerbaijani championships.

In the first round of the Premier League 2020/21 season against Sabah (2: 0), the striker, who scored a double, scored his 42nd and then his 43rd goal. Emreli achieved this in his 120th game. He left behind Bakhtiyar Musayev and Branimir Subashichi, who scored 42 goals each in the championship, as well as Bagaliy Dabo, Fazil Asadov and Leandro Gomes, who had previously scored the same number of goals. Mahir reached Elmir Khankishiyev, who scored 43 goals. The pair shares 48th-49th place in the table of bombers.

Emreli, who scored all his goals for Qarabag, made his debut in the Premier League for Baku in the 2014/15 season.
