Offsideplus.az reports that  A. Rahimov said if the race does not take place, the Azerbaijani government will not lose money: "Holding Formula 1 in the winter is not an option for us." Then there will be empty stands. Therefore, we want to hold the race before mid-October. The most important thing is to clarify everything as soon as possible. It is important to know 2 or 3 months in advance when Formula 1 will take place. It will take 2-3 months for the route to be there. We have already ordered a few things, but we can use them next year or at the end of this year. Therefore, we have not experienced a direct financial loss so far. This is a case of force majeure and is not in our power. If the race does not take place, it will be an option to get the money back from Formula 1. Or it may be planned for the next year that we will not pay at that time."

It should be noted that the Azerbaijani Grand Prix was to be held on June 5-7. Earlier, the race in Monaco was canceled, and the Grand Prix of Australia, Bahrain, Vietnam, China, the Netherlands and Spain were postponed.
