Orkhan Safarov, competing in the weight category of 66 kg, defeated the representative of the Netherlands Ivo Ivo Verhorstert in the first match. Then he defeated the Georgian Bagrati Niniashvili.
Nijat Shikhalizade lost to Willian Lima (Brazil) and stopped the fight.
Karamat Huseynov, 60, also lost his first match. He failed with Luka Mheidze from France. Although Davud Mammadsoy (60 kg) won the duel with Vijay Kumar Yadav from India, he lost to Gusman Kirgizbayev from Kazakhstan.
