The U-17 European wrestling championship continues in Novi Sad, Serbia.

Offsideplus.az reports that today Greco-Roman wrestlers in 45, 51, 60, 71 and 92 kg joined the fight.

Nijat Iskanderli (45 kg) was able to beat Ukrainian Herman Basarab in his debut - 12:11. He eliminated Bulgarian Stanislav Ivanov (9:0) and advanced to the semi-finals. Nijat, who lost to Armenian Marat Atshemyan (0:8) in one step of the final, will wrestle with Norwegian Abubakar Sagay tomorrow for the bronze medal.

Turan Dashdamirov won the Russian Barakatullah Isayev (8:0) and the Greek Sotirios Ntutsas (11:2) with full advantage. Our European and world champion, who was stronger than Ukrainian Maksut Sultanov (7:4) in the 1/4 finals, overthrew Georgian Nika Tsetskhladze (3:0) in the semi-finals. Turan will face Armenian Yurik Mkhitaryan in the decisive match.
