Taekwondo competitions have started at the VIII International Sports Games "Children of Asia" held in Yakutia, Republic of Sakha.

Offsideplus.az informs that the Azerbaijani national team, consisting of young people, finished the first day with 4 medals.

Vasif Salimov (63 kg), who defeated all his opponents in our team, climbed to the top of the podium. Ilyas Hatamli (48 kg) won silver, Ziya Hasanli (55 kg) and Fatima Hasanova (63 kg) won bronze medals.

Taekwondo competitions at the Games will end on June 28.

It should be noted that our sambo wrestler Ibrahim Talibov (53 kg) won a bronze medal earlier in the competition.
