Bakhshiev stated this after Adeniyi’s last-minute goal helped Gabala SC seal an away victory against Sabail FC before the Winter break.

“James is one of the best foreign players to play in Azerbaijan,” Bakhshiev said while taking questions from Offsideplus.az reporter. “We know him very well and we know he has the potential to help the team as he did in the past. Unfortunately, he did not play football for a long time due to his injury and he is back and getting into shape. We would be glad if he stays with us.”

It should be noted that, in his first stint with Gabala, James helped the club win the Azerbaijan Cup in 2019 before he left for Israel to join Ironi Kiryat Shmona.

After a career-threatening injury, James rejoined Gabala who currently occupies the 5th position in the Azerbaijan Premier League standing.
