The first answer that comes to mind is that black is a sign of mourning. In other words, Qarabag wanted to show the world that it has the status of a refugee by using the dark color in the European Cups and that the Armenians mourned the killing of civilians years ago. It looks like this from the outside. Maybe that's why he was chosen.

However, a small investigation reveals that UEFA's decision played an important role in the choice of black. Teams participating in European Cups must show additional colors in addition to the colors that are considered a symbol of the club, so as not to be in a dilemma when the same colors as the opponent. The Qarabag people were forced to choose black. Maybe because of the sign of mourning.  

Karabakh has already been liberated from occupation, and we have Agdam, which is considered a native of Karabakh. What to do now? To give up "black" . Does UEFA require alternative colors? Very good. There are so many colors for this: red, gold, yellow, blue, green (by the way, in the first national championship, "Karabakh" "applied" to green - H.). Let's give up black, which is a symbol of mourning, and let the clothes of the team that got rid of the "refugee" status be painted in bright colors. When presenting a new player to the team, use bright colors, not black.
