"Premier League clubs have goals such as qualifying for European Cups or staying in the league. That's why none of them think of training young players and bringing them to Azerbaijani football."

Football manager Emil Shukurbeyli said these words in his statement to Offsideplus.az. The expert explained why 17-18-year-old football players do not get a chance to play in our Premier League clubs:

"The coordination between the main team and the substitutes is not at a good level. Players are recruited, trained, added to the list of reserve players, but in the end they are not trusted. It takes a certain period of time. Also, the level of the lower leagues does not allow the young footballer there to play in the elite. "Most of the clubs give young people a chance after they have completed their tasks in the last rounds of the championship or they have not been able to do it. In my opinion, this is due to the over-focusing of the head coaches on the results."
