The delegation led by Tahmina Taghi-zadeh, executive director of the Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency (AMADA), participated in the 66th meeting of the Ad Hoc European Committee on the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) in Strasbourg, France.

Offsideplus.az reports that the agenda of the event included various issues such as approval of the report of the last meeting, organization of anti-doping policy within the framework of international law, new challenges and planning of future meetings.

Within the framework of the meeting, opinions were exchanged on creating fair conditions in sports in order to promote gender equality. The activity of the "Ensuring Gender Equality in Anti-Doping" (GECA) committee was among the topics of discussion.

The importance of the "OneVoice" initiative was also highly appreciated at the event. "OneVoice" aims to coordinate anti-doping measures around the world and develop a unified strategy. The intention of the initiative is to increase the effectiveness of the fight against doping by strengthening the cooperation of state bodies in the field of anti-doping. CAHAMA members made suggestions on the implementation of the initiative.

At the meeting, in addition to introducing relevant new initiatives for the protection of athletes' rights at the international level, solutions to the problems encountered were also discussed.
