Azerbaijani chess player Teymur Rajabov will face his opponentsOffsideplus.az reports.

The 16 chess players who will take part in the tournament will compete in a round-robin system for three days and will determine the winners of 8 tickets to the playoffs. At the initial stage, each participant will play 5 games a day 

The competition with a prize fund of $ 100,000 will start on February 6. On the same day, Teymur will face Matthias Blyubaum (Germany), Sam Schenkland, Lenye Dominguez (both USA), Jan Krzysztof Duda (Poland) and Alexander Grishuk (Russia).

The next day, Anish Giri (Netherlands), Yan Nepomnyashi (Russia), Hikaru Nakamura (USA), Vidit Gujrati (India) and Danil Dubov (Russia) will compete with our representative. On the last day of the round tournament, Rajabov's opponents are Dean Liren (China), Magnus Carlsen (Norway), Maxime Vashie-Lagrave (France), Wesley So (USA) and Levon Aronian (Armenia).

Note that the tournament will end on February 14.
