A world-class chess tournament will be held in our country this year, Offsideplus.az reports quoting FIDE. The competition among teenagers scheduled for October 2-12 in Nakhchivan last year was postponed due to a pandemic. 

According to the official website of the organization, the tournament will be held in Nakhchivan as planned, but the exact date has not been specified.

It should be noted that the Azerbaijani team experienced the joy of the championship at the last Olympics in Corum, Turkey. Our national team won the Olympic Games, gaining 16 points and leaving behind teams from 37 countries.
