FIDE announced the ranking of chess players for the month of July.

Offsideplus.az reports with reference to the institution's press service that one of the Azerbaijani chess players Shahriyar Mammadyarov (2726) has dropped three places. The 39-year-old grandmaster was ranked 19th.

Teymur Rajabov (2700) fell 4 places and took the 34th place. Rauf Mammadov (2652), who advanced six places, rose to the 76th place.

Magnus Carlsen (2990, Norway) leads the men's ranking table. Hikaru Nakamura (2802, USA) is second and Fabiano Caruana (2796, USA) is third.

One of our female chess players, Gunay Mammadzade (2441) dropped 4 places and ranked 33rd. Govhar Beidullayeva dropped three places (2412) and took the 42nd place. Ms. Balajayeva (2407) who advanced 16 places, is 47th. Ulviyya Fataliyeva (2399) dropped two places and fell to the 51st rank, while Gulnar Mammadova left the "Top-100".

Chinese grandmasters Yifan Hou (2632), Wenjun Ju (2566) and Lei Tingjie (2548) are in the first three ranks of the list of female chess players.
