AFFA Referee Committee Chairman Frank De Blekere commented on the controversial episodes in the XI round of the Misli Premier League.
Offsideplus.az reports that he first touched the match in which "Turan Tovuz" won against "Kepaz" with a score of 2:1.
Blackere said not every contact was a violation.
"In the 13th minute, during the fight between "Turan Tovuz" player Denis Marandichi and "Kepaz" player Nijat Suleymanov inside the penalty area, the head referee, who was in a good position, took into account a possible light touch with the left foot of a member of "Turan Tovuz", a penalty "Not every contact is a violation. We support the referee's decision not to award a penalty for light touches."
He said the following about the episode in the 15th minute of the mentioned match:
Player number 77 of the "Turan Tovuz" team (Veysel Rzayev) scored a goal and the goal was confirmed by the referee. VAR reviewed all footage for a possible handball before the goal. VAR upheld the referee's decision as he did not have clear footage to see a possible handball foul. In the 56th minute, "Turan Tovuz" captain Christian da Silva committed a foul when he tried to play the ball while it was in the air. The referee recorded the foul and did not show the card. Because the player of "Turan Tovuz" was clearly looking at the ball. He made contact with the ball and the opponent's body. Contact with the inside of the foot was at low intensity. It was a careless foul and was not intentional. The referee made the right decision not to send the player off the field with the second yellow card. The rules for sending off a player with a second yellow card are clear - the violation must be obvious and thoughtless ("Turan Tovuz" team player No. 9 received a yellow card in the 55th minute)".
The chairman of the AFFA Referees' Committee said the following about the episode in the 48th minute of the match in which "Qarabag" won against "Shamakhi" with three unanswered goals: "The referee gives a penalty decision in favor of the "Qarabag" team. VAR watches the footage and confirms the referee's decision. This is a mistake. It is a decision. During the fight, the attacker plays the ball, but the defender also touches the ball. VAR intervention was expected in this episode."
