A meeting of the AFFA Executive Committee was held yesterday.

Offsideplus.az reports that "Qarabag" coach Gurban Gurbanov did not participate in the event.

Sarkhan Hajiyev, executive vice-president of AFFA, explained the reason for this:

"Gurban Gurbanov did not attend the meeting at his own request. Since Gurbanov previously coached the national team, he did not want to participate, taking into account the sensitivity of this issue. We welcomed it."

It should be noted that at the meeting of the committee, it was decided to sign a 3+1 year contract with Santus.
