Rovshan Huseynli, the goalkeeper of the Azerbaijan national futsal team, will continue his career in Kazakhstan's "Astana" club.

The goalkeeper, who agreed with the team in question, shared his thoughts on the transition in his statement to Offsideplus.az:

When I played in "Atyrau", there were offers from both Azerbaijan and foreign clubs. I wanted to play in a different team. We evaluated the offers and decided to agree with Kazakhstan club "Astana". Of course, this transition means new goals. True, "Astana" has not shown high results for several seasons. But the new strategies and plans they presented to me attracted my attention. His goals for the new season are high. In March, a new sponsor came to the club and a manager was appointed. The Brazilian head coach was invited. We will try to reach our goal as soon as possible."

Huseynli also announced the reason for leaving "Atırau":

"I have been playing in Kazakhstan for two years. I got into the TOP-5 team of the 2022/23 season. I ended the year successfully. My goals are constantly changing to the positive. I was performing well in Atyrau. We just couldn't agree on certain issues with the club and I had to say goodbye. This year I will try to perform better."
