According to Offsideplus.az, Samir Abasov will coach the club by the decision of the club's Supervisory Board. The 42-year-old specialist has a contract until the end of the 2021/2022 season.

It should be noted that Abasov played for Neftchi in the 2003/2004 season, won the Azerbaijani championship and cup, and worked as a head coach at Sumgayit (2015-2018) and Zira (2018-2019).
