Here is an excerpt from the interview:
Offsideplus: since you arrived in Baku, what has been your impression of the Azerbaijan championship?
Prince Ibara: since my arrival here in Azerbaijan and my debut in the championship I have seen that the championship has a good level of football and considering what I heard before coming, the level is good anyway.
Offsideplus: what do you think about Neftchi Professional Football Club? Are you well treated here?
Prince Ibara: yes, I was very well received upon my arrival and it was really superb. I think Neftchi is a good club and the management does well to make the players comfortable.
Offsideplus: due to the pandemic, you don't have the opportunity to play in front of the fans. How do you feel playing in an empty stand?
Prince Ibara: It is a pity that the pandemic has come to change a lot of things in football and this affected the supporters. It is not really very pleasant because the pressure and the encouragement of the supporters give us strength. Of course, I hope we surpass this pandemic and I hope to see them back to the stadium soon.
Offsideplus: Qarabag has won the league title seven times in a row, do you think Neftchi can win the championship this time?
Prince Ibara: yes, of course, I believe we can win. We are still in the race and there are games to play so we will fight to finish top at the end of the season.
Offsideplus: What are your challenges adapting to the Azerbaijan Premier League?
Prince Ibara: They are normal setbacks. I tried to get back my shape to be the Prince Ibara that I was before, who scored all the time and I believe here is the best place.
Offsideplus: What does the club need to do to help you score a lot of goals?
Prince Ibara: We have quality players in the team and I am trying to understand them very well. I have around me players like Namig, Amir, Steven and Kane. My work will be easier when we work together and get along as a team.
Offsideplus: What is your objective here in Baku?
Prince Ibara: My objective here is to score more goals and help the club reach its target for this season.
Offsideplus: What do you think about the city of Baku, the people, the cuisine?
Prince Ibara: The city is very good. I compare it to Qatar because I spent a year there and it is a very beautiful city. The cuisine is not really that bad. I am coping with it.
