Offsideplus.az can confirm that Azerbaijan Premier League side PFK Neftchi has taken its search for a striker to Albania by contacting FK Partizani for the services of Nigerian striker Theophilus Solomon.
The striker confirmed this to Offsideplus.az in an exclusive chat.
“I don't have any information yet,” Theophilus Solomon said, “but they (Neftchi) spoke to my club and that’s all I know for now.”
When asked if he would like to play in Azerbaijan, the striker responded indifferently. “Yes, kind of,” he replied.
Solomon has previously played for clubs like Újpest FC, HNK Rijeka and Omonia Nikosia.
It should be noted that Neftchi parted ways with Prince Ibara after his loan deal expired. The leaders of the Azerbaijan Premier League tried to secure the services of James Adeniyi, but reports say the deal did not go through.
