This is clearly evidenced by the content of the letter sent to UEFA by the President of the Armenian Football Federation (EEF) Armen Melikbekyan.

According to Offsideplus.az, the head of the organization appealed to UEFA Secretary-General Theodoros Theodoris, who has visited Baku several timesArmenia's request was to discuss the issue of SOCAR is one of UEFA's sponsoring partners. There is even information on the official website of the EEF.

The appeal notes that in recent days, photos and videos of the war in Nagorno-Karabakh have been posted on SOCAR-linked social network accounts, as well as emotional messages that have been sent to the people. According to Melikbeya and those who share his position, football, which cooperates with UEFA, is turning its back on the terms of the agreement by choosing the wrong position, saying that football should stay away from politics.

The Armenian side hopes that UEFA will not only seriously consider cooperation with SOCAR, but also send a letter of criticism to the largest oil company in the Caucasus.
