Karateka Fidan Dadashova was sentenced to 1 year, taekwondo fighters Nigar Ibrahimova to 2 years and Ophelia Allahverdiyeva to 4 years in prison for diuretics and concealer. Dadashova's sentence will run from February 27, 2020, and Ibrahimova's sentence will run from September 3, 2020. Allahverdiyeva's disqualification period will end on February 18, 2024.
Boxer Kamran Muradov has been disqualified for four years for exogenous anabolic androgenic steroids / metabolites. The sanctions will take effect on January 14, 2020.
Weightlifter Khalid Gudratov is also serving a four-year sentence. Gudratov, who is accused of administering anabolic androgenic steroids / Prasterone (dehydroepiandrosterone, DHEA, 3b-hydroxyandrost-5-en-17-one) to the athlete outside the competition, will serve his sentence on February 13, 2024.
It should be noted that for the first time in Azerbaijan, a doctor working in the field of sports was punished for doping.
