It should be noted that on September 27, in response to another provocation by the Armenian armed forces, the Azerbaijani Army conducted counter-offensive operations in all directions of the front. The 44-day war ended with a resounding victory for Azerbaijan, and the occupied territories were liberated for nearly 30 years. Thus, as a result of a successful counter-offensive launched by the Azerbaijani Army in Karabakh on September 27, 5 cities, 4 settlements and 286 villages were liberated from occupation by November 9. So far, Jabrayil city and 90 villages of the region, Fuzuli city and 53 villages of the region, Zangilan city, Minjivan, Agband, Bartaz settlements and 52 villages of the region, Hadrut settlement and 35 villages of Khojavend region, 3 villages of Tartar region, Gubadli city and 41 villages of the region, Khojaly 9 villages of the region, Shusha city, 3 villages of Lachin region, Also, several strategic heights in the direction of Aghdara and Murovdagh were liberated, and in Zangilan, Bartaz, Sigirt, Shukurataz heights and 5 other unnamed heights were liberated. On November 10, the President of Azerbaijan, the Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of Russia signed a statement on a complete ceasefire and all military operations in the conflict zone. According to the statement, Kalbajar, Agdam and Lachin regions have been handed over to Azerbaijan by December 1, 2020.
2,783 servicemen of our Armed Forces were killed in the war. Among them, work is underway to identify 103 servicemen by DNA analysis. More than 100 servicemen are missing. Necessary measures are being taken to find them and inform their families. At present, 1,245 servicemen are being treated in medical institutions.
