According to the official website of the national association, 34 out of 35 eligible delegates attended the conference. Thus, the Conference was deemed competent in accordance with its sufficiency.

AFFA President Rovnag Abdullayev greeted the conference participants: “Dear participants of the conference, dear guests. I greet each of you at the next AFFA Conference. For more than a year, most countries around the world have been battling the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic period has its own requirements. Taking into account these factors, we are meeting today in the format of a video conference. Of course, due to the pandemic, 2020 could be called a difficult and perhaps unsuccessful year. But last year will always be remembered as a year of victory for us. Under the leadership of the President of the Republic, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, our victorious army liberated our occupied lands from the clutches of the enemy for nearly 30 years. I congratulate each of you on the great victory. Registered in the AFFA Registration System during the Patriotic War, 191 members of the Azerbaijani football family also rose to the peak of martyrdom. May God have mercy on all our martyrs!

After greeting the AFFA President, Executive Vice President Elkhan Mammadov said that UEFA Secretary General Theodore Theodoridis addressed a video address to the AFFA Conference and a video address was shown. Then Elkhan Mammadov made a report on the measures taken by AFFA last year. The report was followed by a video.

 

It was reported that, as every year, the AFFA report was posted on the website affa.az  (link:  Report 2020 ).

Elkhan Mammadov said that the UEFA Executive Committee had decided to plant 50,000 trees in the host cities to contribute to the environmental situation in the cities where the Euro 2020 games will be held and to preserve the long-term legacy of the championship. AFFA welcomed UEFA's initiative. According to the agreement signed between AFFA and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources "Azerbaijan Landscaping and Landscape Construction" Open Joint-Stock Company, 50,600 (fifty thousand six hundred) trees were planted in the territory of various landscaping departments. Some of the trees have been planted around Khojahasan Lake, while others have been planted around the part of the airport highway passing through the Surakhani district. A video was shown in this regard.

Then AFFA Technical Director Jahangir Hasanzadeh spoke about the training process and tournaments of national youth teams.

In his speech, FIFA representative Nodar Akhalkatsi voiced the views addressed by FIFA to the AFFA Conference.

The representative of the Conference with the right to vote, Ogtay Abdullayev, thanked the AFFA leadership for the commissioning of the Football Academy built under the Turan-Tovuz club in the Tovuz region.

After the conference, a meeting of the Executive Committee was held.
