Diplomas were presented to graduates of the dual diploma program "Sports Management" jointly implemented by the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) and the Azerbaijan Sports Academy.

Offsideplus.az reports that MGIMO Rector Anatoliy Torkunov, Azerbaijan Sports Academy Rector Fuad Hajiyev and officials representing both higher education institutions took part in the event held in Moscow, the capital of Russia. Rectors Anatoliy Torkunov and Fuad Hajiyev presented diplomas to the first graduates of the program.

In his opening speech, the rector of MGIMO, Anatoliy Torkunov, emphasized that the joint educational program is a bright example of friendship and cooperation between our countries, that MGIMO and the Azerbaijan Sports Academy together opened a new page in the field of education and made a great contribution to the training of professional specialists for the labor market.

Speaking at the event, Rector of Azerbaijan Sports Academy Fuad Hajiyev said that the unique feature of the program is that it creates an opportunity to train world-class and competitive specialists. Thanks to this program, graduates gain extensive knowledge and experience in the field of sports management.

During their studies, students visited Moscow and Sochi, Russia, and learned the experiences of qualified specialists of the Russian Federation in the field of sports management and marketing. They also got acquainted with large sports facilities and training bases of Olympians.

Student Farid Khalilov, one of the first graduates of the dual diploma program, took part in this important event and expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported him on his way. He emphasized that each of us will continue our mission and try to achieve achievements in the field of sports.

It should be noted that in 2022, according to the agreement signed between the Azerbaijan Sports Academy and the Moscow State University of International Relations, the dual diploma program for the Master's degree "Sports Management" was approved. The program provides students studying in the field of sports management with the experience and knowledge of both Azerbaijan Sports Academy and MGIMO, and provides quality education at the international level. According to the agreement, it is envisaged to create and develop academic and other mutual relations aimed at improving the level of education, and this year 7 students received the title of graduate.
