Azerbaijan's national sumo teams successfully performed at the European Championship held in Loutraki, Greece.

Offsideplus.az repors that among the 21-year-olds, Abdullah Sharif (85 kilograms) won gold, Javidan Nehmetov (77 kilograms) and Farid Ahmadov (92 kilograms) won bronze medals.

In the U-23 age category, Abdullah Sharif (85 kilograms) won silver, Khasay Yusif (115 kilograms and absolute weight) won 2 bronze medals.

Among other athletes, Javidan Nehmetov (77 kilograms) and Muhammad Aliyev (70 kilograms) were awarded bronze medals.

Among adults, Chingiz Samadov (100 kilograms) won silver, Abdullah Sharif (85 kilograms) and Rasul Mammadzade (77 kilograms) won bronze medals. With this result, the senior team finished third in the team standings.
