Two more Azerbaijani boxers reached the 1/4 finals of the ongoing U-23 European Championship in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.

Offsideplus.az reports that on the third day of the competition, Nijat Huseynov, who fought at 51 kg, fought Scott Richards (Wales) in his first match.

The 1/8 final match ended with a 5:0 (30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 29:28) victory of our boxer. Huseynov will try his hand against Spaniard Rafael Serrano in the quarter finals.

Murad Allahverdiyev also finished his first match in favor. He won with the score of 3:2 (28:29, 29:28, 30:27, 28:29, 30:27) over Alexey Koktsikawa (IBAB). Allahverdiyev will clarify his relationship with Matviy Rajba (Ukraine) at the next stage.

 It should be noted that yesterday Ruslan Gadirov (60 kg) and Farhad Sheydayev (75 kg) also reached the 1/4 finals of the WC. The matches of the 1/4 final stage among male boxers will be held on October 16.
