 Offsideplus.az reports that the new transfer of "Sumgait" Aleksey Kitayev said this in a statement to the press service of the club:

 The experienced basketball player spoke about the atmosphere and potential in the team:

 "There is a great atmosphere within the team. On the eve of the new season, the preparatory game we played against "Nakhchivan" showed that we are a good team. We put up a decent resistance against a strong opponent. Of course, we wanted to win the game held a few days ago. But defeat also has certain reasons. Because we are newly formed, we haven't played much with each other. It takes time to adapt. The members of the team are very strong individually."

 He believes that "Sumgait" will perform successfully in the new season:

 "Of course, our main goal is to qualify for the playoffs. If our work goes well, we can be among the 4 strongest teams of the championship. For this we have to "increase" from game to game.
