The statement came from the National Olympic Committee, Offsideplus.az reports.

"We strongly condemn such cruel and inhumane actions against the Azerbaijani sports community, which contradict the Olympic values. We offer our condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and wish healing to the injured," the statement said.

On October 28, 21 people were killed and about 70 were injured when the Armenian armed forces hit civilians and trade facilities in Barda with cassette missiles banned by international law.
